Terms of Use
What Gun Milan is
Gun Milan (gunmilan.com) is run by Intuition Labs Private Limited, under the brand Zenzy Labs. It calculates a traditional Ashtakoot (36 guna) kundli match and checks Mangal, Nadi and Gana dosha from the birth details you enter. It is free to use and needs no account.
Information, not advice
Results are calculations by a traditional method, presented for information. Traditions and pandits differ on several of the rules, and the app says so where they do. Do not treat a result as a decision about a marriage; consult your pandit ji and your family.
Accuracy
A result is only as good as the details entered. A wrong birth time, date or place can change it, sometimes entirely. We work to keep the calculations correct but give no warranty that they are free of error.
Your use
Enter details only of people who would be comfortable with you doing so, and share links only with people they would trust with their birth details. Do not use the app to harass, defame or discriminate against anyone.
Ownership
Gun Milan and everything in it belong to Intuition Labs Private Limited: the software and code, including the scripts your browser downloads to run it; the matching engine and its calculations; the selection, arrangement and compilation of its tables and lists; the text and its Hindi and English wording; the design, layout, graphics, logo and preview cards; and the names Gun Milan and गुण मिलान as we use them. They are protected by the Copyright Act, 1957, and other laws of India and of other countries. All rights not expressly granted in these terms are reserved.
What you may do
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable permission to use Gun Milan at gunmilan.com, through an ordinary browser or our own apps, to match horoscopes for yourself, your family, or the families you advise. You may share results and share links with the people they concern, including as a matchmaker with your clients.
What you may not do
Without our prior written permission you may not, yourself or through anyone else:
- copy, reproduce, download for redistribution, mirror, republish or host Gun Milan or any part of it, on any website, app or service;
- frame or embed it in another website or app, or present it, its results or its preview cards as anyone else's;
- modify, translate, adapt or make derivative works of it, or of its code, engine, tables or text;
- decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, de-minify or otherwise try to derive its source code, algorithms, tables or data, except to the extent a law that cannot be waived allows it;
- scrape, crawl, harvest or query it by automated means, or extract its results, tables or lists in bulk;
- use it, its code, its results or its content to build, improve, train or offer any competing product or service, including a machine-learning or AI model or dataset;
- sell, rent, lease, sublicense or charge for access to it or to its results as a service, or otherwise exploit it commercially beyond the use permitted above;
- remove or alter any copyright or other notice, or get around any measure that protects it;
- use our names, logo or domain, or anything confusingly similar, in a way that suggests a connection with us.
Other matching, astrology and matrimonial services
If you run, or work for, a kundli-matching, astrology, horoscope, matrimonial or matchmaking website, app or online service, the permission in "What you may do" does not cover that business. You may not use Gun Milan in it or for it, in any form: not embedding, integrating, automating, mirroring or reselling it; not offering its results, scores or preview cards to your users; and not studying, testing or copying it to build or improve your own. Any such use needs a separate written licence from Intuition Labs Private Limited, signed by us; ask at contact@gunmilan.com. Linking to gunmilan.com is always allowed. A pandit or matchmaker who uses Gun Milan to advise families directly is not covered by this section.
Open-source parts
Gun Milan uses open-source software, fonts and open data, listed on the Credits page. Each of those stays under its own licence, and nothing in these terms limits the rights that licence gives you in that part. The restrictions above apply to everything else, and to Gun Milan as a whole.
If these terms are broken
Any use outside these terms ends your permission at once, without notice. We may block access, ask hosting providers, app stores and search engines to remove infringing copies, and seek an injunction, damages, and the costs of enforcing our rights. To report a copy of Gun Milan, write to contact@gunmilan.com.
Liability
Gun Milan is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any decision made or loss suffered from using it.
Changes
We may change the app and these terms. Changes are posted on this page with a new date.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
