Kundali matching from a biodata
Upload the biodata as a PDF or a photo, or paste its text. The Gun Milan app reads the birth details out of it, shows them for you to check, and runs the match when you confirm.
Check a match yourself: all 36 gunas and Manglik dosha, free, in seconds.

A PDF made on a computer works best: its text is read at once, with labels in English or Hindi (जन्म तिथि, जन्म समय, जन्म स्थान). A photo or a scanned PDF is read letter by letter, which takes 10 to 15 seconds and reads English letters only, so for a biodata printed in Hindi use a PDF made on a computer, or paste the text.
What it reads
Four things: the name, the date of birth, the time of birth and the place of birth. Education, family and the rest are left alone. The birthplace is looked up in a list of Indian towns, and of cities abroad when the biodata names a country, so the kundali is drawn for the right place. All of this happens on your phone; the biodata never leaves it.
Check, then confirm
Every detail is shown on one screen, "Are these correct?", before anything is matched or saved. Where the biodata was unclear the field says "please check", and anything missing says "Not found" for you to fill in.
Dates are read day first, as Indian biodatas write them. A time with no AM or PM is marked, because getting that wrong changes the whole kundali. For example:
| In the biodata | Read as |
|---|---|
DOB: 04/09/1996 | 4 September 1996, day first, as written |
DOB: 09/25/1996 | 25 September 1996, with a note that this one writes the month first |
Time of Birth: 7:15 | "please check": no AM or PM given |
Place of Birth: Bareilly | Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh |
Choose whether the biodata is the girl's or the boy's. If the other side is already filled - say, with someone you saved earlier - pressing "Yes, match with…" runs the match straight away.
Straight from WhatsApp
On an Android phone, add the Gun Milan app to the home screen from Chrome or Samsung Internet. It then appears in the share menu: open the biodata in WhatsApp, press Share and choose Gun Milan, and the app opens on the check screen with the details already read. On an iPhone, add it from Safari's Share button and choose the biodata from inside the app.
